Our annual Ceremony to Aholu, Aholu is the deity of the great Earth, disease/pestilence, healing, morality and transformation. Many of his priests were sold into slavery to North America during the rise of the Dahomean empire (present day Benin). Aholu's grand temple was put outside the kingdom. In his anger, he killed several of the Dahomean kings until they restored his temple and worshiped him as the true King of the Earth.
