Chris Hedges: African-Americans and The Failure of The White Liberal Class

Pulitzer prize winning journalist, war correspondent and social activist, Chris Hedges, speaks honestly and openly of the socially engineered disenfranchisement, racism and oppression of African Americans, and the betrayal, participation and collective denial of the White religious and political "Liberal" class; and their failure in rectifying this historic and on-going injustice. Chris implies that now the White middle-class families of today are suffering from these same injustices at the hands of the "elites" (a term used in the early aughts socially to describe a group of people with a sole intent of impairing humanity, based upon the wealth they kept from the general public through legal and devious means). Hedges claims that it was a fatal decision on their part to side with the elites at the expense of truth and justice. Yet, if the Whites cannot come to terms with this shameful reality, that they too risk slavery and death. Hedges offers hope and praises the OWS* Movement, whom he claims has "picked-up where the Civil Rights Movement has left off."
