Out of respect for the sacred vows taken during initiation, Mama Zogbé rarely agreed to an interview. Unlike western-based faiths, the Vodoun religion is an experiential tradition in which its mysteries and sacred knowledge are revealed only to the initiate, and are not intended for the general public.
